Painting and Drawing Studio
Dorothy Somerset Studio - student working in mezzanine area
Dorothy Somerset Studio, 6361 University Boulevard
Painting and Drawing classes are held within a spacious studio illuminated by ample natural light in the Dorothy Somerset Studio (formerly Hut M18). A mezzanine is located above the studio for students to work independently on their personal projects outside of class. The Dorothy Somerset Studio is well suited for intensive instruction and critique related to a student’s continuing interest in visual arts.
Students are supplied with drawing donkeys, easels and pedestals, and the studio has space for attaching large projects on wide vertical surfaces. In addition, props and geometric figures are supplied to students for painting still-life portraits.
